Our Research

We place a strong emphasis on the confluence of rapid design automation tools, domain specific architectures and expertise in algorithm-to-architecture translations for meeting the cross-cutting challenges in edge intelligence. Our current research aims to answer the following questions.
  • How can we reduce the design productivity gap for customizing embedded systems to address cross-cutting design constraints of edge intelligence (i.e. performance-energy-cost) in emerging large-scale applications e.g., the domain of autonomous systems and urban mobility?
  • How can we effectively harness the application characteristics of complex AI applications to increase reliability and security, while maximizing performance-energy-cost-efficiency?
  • How can we effectively detect and mitigate vulnerabilities in a broad class of edge intelligence systems when they are constantly subjected to faults and evolving security threats?
